Children’s Faith Formation

“Parents are the most influential agents of catechesis for their children…When children are baptized, parents accept the responsibility to bring up their children in the practice of the faith.” ~TheNational Directory of Catechesis

Is your child “on the road” with Jesus? Besides nurturing their own faith, parents are responsible for passing on our faith to their children. Resurrection partners with the parents in the ongoing spiritual formation of their children through the Faith Formation program, which assists the parents in their role as the primary educators of their children. Faith Formation classes are offered from Kindergarten through Junior High beginning the last week in September to the first week in May. Students are automatically reregistered for the following year. Please see the time and fee schedule on the calendars to the right for more information. Download the registration form on the right to enroll.

Sacrament Preparation

“The sacraments of Christian initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist—lay the foundations of every Christian life. The faithful are born anew by Baptism, strengthened by the sacrament of Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life.” ~Catechism of the Catholic Church #1212

"‘The whole power of the sacrament of Penance consists in restoring us to God's grace and joining us with him in an intimate friendship.’ Reconciliation with God is thus the purpose and effect of this sacrament.” ~Catechism of the Catholic Church #1468.

Preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, Confirmation, and Baptism for children age seven and older, is included as part of the ongoing Faith Formation process.
