Fr. Bob's Second ADA Letter

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Each year we are asked to help support the work of the local Church beyond our own parish boundaries through the Annual Diocesan Appeal.

The annual Diocesan Appeal, as the enclosed brochure details, is the mainstay of support of all diocesan programs. Among other things the Diocesan services supported by the Appeal

provide a variety of outreach and ministerial services to parishes of the diocese in areas such as liturgy, youth and young adult ministry, catechetical ministry, family life ministry, etc. through the Office of Pastoral Ministry;
organize, administer and supervise the Catholic schools of the diocese through the Department of Education;
serve to prepare members of the Catholic laity of the diocese for leadership in the Church through the Institute for Leadership in Ministry;
provide support, guidance and planning for pastors and parishes through the Office of Parish & Planning.

This year our ADA goal has been lowered to $112,050. Through the generosity of our parishioners, we have already received 210 pledges totaling $82,955 which is 74% or our parish’s goal. If you have already pledged, thank you for your support. If not, I would ask that you consider making a pledge at this time.

We are asking for an average pledge of $400. If you can give more, we depend upon you to do so to help make up for those who cannot give as generously this year.

I ask that you bring your enclosed pledge form to Mass with you this coming weekend. Pledges can be paid in 10 monthly installments. We also have the option of charging pledges to our MasterCard or Visa cards.
