Mike Malone's
article: "Young People Cop to It: Technology is Bad for Us,
can be found on line at http://abcnews.go.com/Business/Economy/story?id=7590263&page=1.
This is a great article on the perspective of Resurrection School middle
school students and how technology affects their lives.
Resurrection School
is nationally recognized as "School of the Month" in
"Today's Catholic Teacher" magazine.
The March 2009 issue of "Today's
Catholic Teacher" Magazine highlights Resurrection School's
community service outreach efforts, and in doing so, recognizes
Resurrection School as a School of the Month. Many thanks to Mrs.
Shukait, Mrs. Wright, and Mrs. Lovett for their contributions to this article.

Congrats to Alum Alex
Noronha '07 and the Bellarmine World Affairs Challenge Team. Alex
teamed with 6 other students to compete in the World
Affairs Challenge, the largest academic event in San Francisco
area. Individually Alex took third place in the “Global Awareness Quiz,” first place in the collaborative question and,
as a team, took 3rd best creative presentation, 1st best formal presentation, and the best high school team overall. The most interesting
part of this whole thing is that this team was entirely student driven--no
teacher involvement at all. Click here for an article from the
Bellarmine website: http://www.bcp.org/news/detail.aspx?pageaction=ViewSinglePublic&LinkID=6400&

Congratulations to
'07 Alum Sienna LaRocca and the St. Francis Mock Trial team. St.
Francis High School won the county mock trial and will travel down to
Riverside for the state finals in March. Sienna is the only
sophomore on the team!

social
justice"
This is our theme for the
school year. Not only are we "Celebrating what's right with
the world" but "what's right with
Resurrection School". Tied to this are our continuing efforts
to educate students about peace which begins right here at Resurrection
and practicing social justice.

place now
Together we can
"Make A Difference". With the support of our community,
changes have taken place! We have a new Math classroom for small
group math instruction, we are at our highest enrollment in years, and
we are living out our mission and P.E.A.C.E. student learning
expectations every day. All of this has been accomplished
with the help of our families and supporting community. Please
consider a gift to Resurrection School - it has and will continue to
make a significant difference in the lives of 295 students. ON-LINE

Our Community Outreach program
is growing!
What began six years ago with 60 Thanksgiving
lunches for InnVision has grown to 343 lunches with even more to come
this year. In November our 3rd - 8th graders
(that's 190 students!) got together to make Thanksgiving cards,
decorate lunch bags and fill them with a healthy lunch all in time for
delivery before Thanksgiving, and then did the same for Valentine's Day!
Have you seen the L.O.V.E. buckets in the
classrooms? These are used to collect a variety of items, whether
it be Halloween costumes, canned foods, toiletry items, or socks.
What does L.O.V.E. stand for? "Live Outreach Values
Everyday." This is the message and theme our students
work towards as part of our outreach and community-minded
efforts. Click here
for more information on our schoolwide outreach programs.
