Our Mission
Resurrection School seeks to enrich and
develop the individual student's full potential in a Christ-centered,
peace-filled, family-oriented environment.
Our
Philosophy
Our primary belief in God, Christ, and
the Catholic Church provides the well from which our educational
philosophy flows. At Resurrection School, we strive to develop
young people who recognize God's given gifts and talents in themselves
and others, and who continually strive to enhance and utilize these
gifts for the benefit of all.
Academically, our students learn the
tools for scholastic success. They learn to balance and excel from
the traditional teachings of the Catholic Church to the constantly
changing technology of Silicon Valley. Our faculty and curriculum
respect learning differences by offering multiple approaches to all
subjects. Our children learn from each other with older students
developing a loving relationship with younger students. Most
importantly, our teachers encourage our students to develop a love of
learning that extends beyond the elementary and middle school years.
We recognize that the job of educating a
child goes beyond the classroom walls into the wider community of the
student. Resurrection School is a reflection of the multi-ethic
population surrounding it. We support parents as the primary
educators in their child's faith development and we create a community of
families, alumni, teachers, administrators, and clergy, who individually
know, work together, and support our students. We teach our
children that they belong, that they will be helped within needed, and
that others need them. By demonstrating Christ's values within our
community, our students learn reflection, action, and a passion for life
and growth.
